Biscuit Love Review-Movie Poster Lines

biscuit ratingAs a writer, and now as a publisher, I love word-play, especially puns. At BelleBooks we spend a lot of time coming up with promotional copy for our books. What sounds like fun often turns into hard, brain-twisting brainstorming sessions. So when I see movie posters with terrific one-liners on them, (aka formally known as “tag lines,”) I bow to the creative work that went into those jewels of wit. Example: For Men in Black it was: “Saving Earth from the scum of the Universe.”  for Chevy Chase’s Christmas Vacation: “Yule crack up.” For Finding Nemo: “There are 3.7 trillion fish in the ocean. They’re looking for one.” For a top list, visit this collection at Ad Week.

So this week I present my Biscuit Love Rating to a tag line from the new Cameron Diaz movie, THE OTHER WOMAN, about three women who team up to take revenge on the guy who’s cheating on all of them. (Drum Roll!)

FIVE BISCUITS TO: “The oddest friends are about to get even.”

The biscuit love scale is genius! My favorite movie tag is: “In space, no one can hear you scream.” – Alien

How ingenious! I’d love a biscuit or five of my own. 🙂
